Over 100,000 people are anticipated at Kyle Field on Saturday night for George Strait’s concert.
The stadium will open at 4 p.m., with Catie Offerman starting the show at 6 p.m., followed by Parker McCollum at 7:15 p.m. George Strait is set to perform at 9:15 p.m.
Each ticketholder will have a specific entry point indicated on their digital ticket. Attendees with field-level seats will receive a wristband upon entering.
Campus parking lots will open at noon, with fees ranging from $25 to $40. However, some lots, including Reed Arena’s Lot 100, Stallings Garage, University Central Garage, and West Campus Garage, are already sold out, per A&M Transportation Services.
A free shuttle will operate from the Roy Kelly Parking Garage in Downtown Bryan and the Memorial Student Center on campus starting three hours before the concert and continuing for one hour after the concert. While the shuttle service is free, parking rates may apply in Downtown Bryan.
The city of College Station’s paid parking program will charge $25 per spot for over 1,600 street parking spaces in the Southside Historic District. Additionally, more than 1,100 spots will be available in surface lots at City Hall, the Lincoln Center, the Wayne Smith baseball fields, and Post Oak Mall, with the Wayne Smith lot designated for RVs.
Houston Street and Joe Routt Boulevard will close at 2 p.m. and remain closed throughout the event.
Tailgating and pre-show festivities will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
After the concert, Wellborn Road will be converted to four southbound lanes starting at George Bush Drive. Northbound traffic will be detoured at George Bush Drive, which will be closed to eastbound traffic from Wellborn Road to F.M. 2818.
Concert tickets are still available on the 12th Man Foundation’s website, starting at $55 for third deck south end zone seats, plus $21.84 in ticket fees.
